TNDC holds two-day Neighborhood Emergency Response Team (NERT) training sessions on an annual basis, hosted by the San Francisco Fire Department and designed to educate average citizens to be prepared to assist in the case of a major emergency. 75 members of TNDC’s staff have now been certified to respond effectively and in an organized manner, should a major disaster affect our Tenderloin neighborhood. Another session is planned for January.
