Night Manager

THE POSITION

Under the direct supervision of the General Manager, the Night Manager will be responsible for responding to on-site emergencies at the building during evening/night hours.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Respond to building emergencies during the evening/night hours.
  2. Provide back-up to Manager during illness or vacation.
  3. Maintain building log and list of restricted visitors.
  4. Walk building at least two times per shift to verify security and ensure cleanliness of common areas.
  5. Cover during breaks for front desk clerks.
  6. Know main building systems and respond to emergency maintenance needs
  7. Participate in community events as needed.
  8. Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to work with a diverse, very low-income, multi-ethnic population.
  • Ability to follow directions.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Effective writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work tactfully and under pressure.
  • Possess an even temperament and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Possess high degree of common sense.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of residential property management preferred.
  • Other language capacity is an asset.

SALARY
Housing credit & cash compensation depending on hours worked.
