Candlestick 10a
Building 156 affordable homes in the Bayview by 2026*
We envision a future where everyone can thrive, regardless of income, race, spoken language, gender identity, and more. Candlestick 10a is a key step in helping us build this future by providing 156 affordable homes for people with low incomes in San Francisco (less than 60% AMI), including people who were formerly unhoused and Transitional Aged Youth (TAY). This project is co-developed with the Young Community Developers.
Located in the Bayview, Candlestick 10a is part of the overall Candlestick Point neighborhood redevelopment plan and will be a multi-family building centering tenant needs. With onsite social workers, 24/7 front desk coverage, and Property Management, tenants will have a built-in support network to help them adjust to their new home, feel welcome, and remain stably housed.
In addition to onsite support, Candlestick 10a will offer a community garden, bicycle parking, open space, and a ground-floor space serving the community likely in partnership with the Bayview YMCA. Notably, Candlestick 10a will seek a GreenPoint Rating Certification. The community has had direct involvement in informing the building design. Features like front stoops for the townhouse units, pocket gardens adding green space throughout the building, and a partnership with the YMCA were all part of the community outreach process.
Construction started in 2024 and people are scheduled to move in by 2026.
